On behalf of the Australia India Business Council I take this opportunity to invite you to attend this year’s Australia India Business Conference 2010 (AIBC2010) to be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Friday, 11th June, 2010. There will be a conference dinner and site visits on Thursday, 10th June.

The AIBC2010 is being held at a time of unprecedented convergence of business interest between Australia and India. Much of this business interest is driven by India’s need for energy, resources and infrastructure and Australia’s unique capabilities in addressing these needs. The conference program has been designed with a special focus on these sectors taking into account their technology, financing, skills, commercial and innovation dimensions.

We have been fortunate in securing speakers of the highest calibre including several key executives travelling from India to make presentations at the conference. It is also fitting that Queensland is host to the conference this year, as it is a significant player in the growing Australia India business story. On Thursday, 10th June, the delegates will have an opportunity to visit some of Queensland’s centres of excellence in the resources and energy sector. The Conference Dinner on the 10th will enable delegates to socialise together to strengthen the ties between our two countries.

Once again I invite you to take full advantage of the forthcoming proceedings.
